Connor McGregor at UFC 189 World Tour.By: Andrius Petrucenia

Reports are saying that the two fighters are on the verge of a signed contract for a billion dollar fight. That's crazy. Two totally different fighting styles. Pretty much two totally different sports. But surprisingly, the two guys has a similar character style. Outspoken, cocky, flaunting, etc. So to me it's not super difficult to believe that the two planned this match for a large cash payout. That's a smart way to go about it.

It's no secret that I dislike Mayweather. When I was picking sides during the Pacman bout, I went Pac all they way. This one I am no different. If it is true, I don't see how Mayweather stands a chance. McGregor hits like a train, can take a ton of super hard hits, and is really aggressive once he turns it on. Just those few things are a recipe for disaster for Mayweather. McGregor will not give Mayweather the choice of dancing around the ring until the fight is over. He will attack and keep attacking. On top of that, history shows that he will be able to accept any throw that Mayweather will throw at him.

Even though I dislike Mayweather, that doesn't mean the guy isn't a proven champion. His record clearly shows that. But again, I cannot find any sign of him being able to keep up with someone with McGregor's skill set. Which is also proven as great.

I really, really want this fight to happen. But it's really hard to believe a cross-fight like this will go down. Another thing that makes it even more unbelievable is that Mayweather would have to come out of retirement (which reports say he is) for this fight.

Conor is certainly right; Floyd would never enter the MMA ring. He would get completely destroyed. And yet Conor could seriously bet one of the best boxers ever... Goes to show that MMA is superior to boxing, for trading punches on your feet with gloves on is just a fraction of what MMA is about, and what their fighters train for. While with boxers, it is their one and only skill. If this happens and Conor wins, MMA will always be able to stick it to the boxing world as being a superior and more relevant sport, until a boxer is both capable and willing enough to enter into the octagon.
