So as up and down as the season has been for my Mavs, I feel pretty happy about the fact they drew the Houston Rockets in the first round of the playoffs. Of the top tier teams in the West, the Rockets are probably the only team I think the Mavs have a decent shot against. I fear the Spurs and Portland would have been a bad draw. We have had a terrible time against San Antonio historically, especially in the post season. And the Trailblazers are too hot right now for my tastes. Better the Clippers and Grizzlies battle it out with them. (that makes 2 more teams I'm glad we didn't draw)
Did your team make it in? Happy with the seeding?
First round goes like this:
West:
Golden State Warriors v New Orleans Pelicans
Portland Trailblazers v Memphis Grizzlies
Los Angeles Clippers v San Antonio Spurs
Houston Rockets v Dallas Mavericks
East
Atlanta Hawks v Brooklyn Nets
Toronto Raptors v Washington Wizards
Chicago Bulls v Milwaukee Bucks
Cleveland Cavaliers v Boston Celtics
Starts 4/18, Saturday night.

Clippers fan here. I was really worried about drawing the defending champs in the first round. The Spurs are one of the best playoff teams ever. But lookout man.. LAC leads early 1-0. Gotta love Chris Paul. 32 pts in Game 1, carried the team on his back. Makes me think they can actually get outta the first round after all. Here's hoping..
