Wow. That was a surprise ending to a game I figured was in the bag for the Hawks. They had momentum on their side from game one, after hard fought win in double overtime. I did not see the Preds giving them this much trouble. I know it's only game two of seven, but if you've watched the Hawks in the past you know they're more of a momentum team when it comes to the playoffs. Which leaves me as a loyal follower to be slightly scared.
What needs to happen in game 3? Pull Crawford. Pull Crawford. Pull Crawford. Don't get me wrong, he is an amazing asset. But the past has shown that when he is off, he is amazingly off. You know, like letting 3 pucks mosey through in that short amount of time. They need to put Darling back in the game.

The Preds have seen that Crawford is weak right now, which leads the Hawks entirely being weak. In game one the shift in momentum was amazing once Darling hit the ice. Coming back from 0-3, to win a game in double over time is all you could ask for from a playoff rookie. This was his debut for a playoff game. Come on and make the decision coach. I know Crawford is your guy, but his head is elsewhere right now.

    You got this Hawks!

Gotta agree. I'm not a die hard hockey fan, but I did watch almost all of that game last night. It was a brutal 4th period. I kept thinking the Hawks could come back, until the onslaught happened. It was pretty embarrassing. Crawford should pull himself, for the good of the team and the series, if he's really not feelin' it on a given night. Of course that would never happen, but I think it would be a smart, vet move on his part.

Oh yeah! That was the Hawks I love. Other than a few too many unnecessary passes, they were perfect. Amazing puck control, in sync with one another, getting the puck to the front of the net (this is a big one), and a little more physical than usuall. They're not known for being too physical of a team so it's nice to see them take some shots every now and then. Just to remind others who they're up against.

The only that that aggravated me was that Andrew Shaw didn't have a chance to throw hands with Ribeiro before the final horn. Its one thing to punch a man while checking on the ice, it's a whole different thing to punch a man in the face that was sitting quietly on the bench. Not even looking at you, for that matter.

You better watch out Ribeiro. Once you start to show that kind of weakness, you will wake them up in a way that's not good at all for youself. I wouldn't consider Andrew Shaw as a man I would want to go toe to toe with on the ice.

2-1. Blackhawks rebounded from that Game 2 melt down nicely! Good call on Crawford. Darling was great. Just read he is getting the game 4 start too. That's awesome to see that Crawford and Darling seem to be working as a team, instead of worrying about saving face or seniority.

Triple overtime. That was a great game, but hard to stay up for. All the players could say afterwards was they were glad it was finally over. Gotta give them credit though. Takes a lot of stamina to play that hard for a game that lasted over 4 hours from beginning to end! 3-1 commanding series lead for the 'hawks now. They got this. Question is, who will they play next series?

Let's see what happens tonight! In order to stay in the playoffs, the Preds have to win the next two games. I as a Hawks fan, have no concern at the moment. I think the Preds got super lucky in the two games they have one. 3 goals in under two minutes is too much of a rarity. I've got my money on the Hawks running away with a win tonight.

I'm rooting for the Hawks over the Preds myself. But luck... come on now. The first time, sure. But hard to chalk it up to luck if it happens twice in the same series. Do I detect a bit of jealousy against the Preds, sir? I am pretty surprised actually that Nashville is hanging in there with Chi-town as much as they are to this point. No way do I see them winning two in a row. Totally agree there. If the first 5 games are any indication of tonight's game, the Hawks will win something like 4-2 and advance.

Done and done. Series over in 6. I think the 'hawks learned a lot from this series. They found a new potential star goalie in Darling. And I think they also hopefully learned to chill a bit on the fancy stick play, and focus more on the fundamentals.

So what are we looking at now? Round 2 vs the Blues, or the Wild? Wild right now is up 3-2 in the series. But the Blues were #1 ranked for a reason, so I can see this going either way. Who would you rather land, as a 'hawks fan?
