Odds makers clearly have Justify as the favorite in this race. Justify won the Kentucky Derby and has a really good chance of taking the Triple Crown this year.

Though thought it was interesting the horse 'Good Magic' is a very close second. All other horses as of now are not even close odds wise. (Live odds)

    Justify - 4/9
    Good Magic - 5/2
    Lone Sailor - 9/1
    Bravazo - 12/1
    Quip - 12/1
    Diamond King - 15/1
    Tenfold - 20/1
    Sporting Chance - 30/1

Figure this will change a bit once the post position draws are announced. Though I don't see Justify or Good Magic slipping as the 2 favorites.

Any reason to bet on any other horse outside the top two? Saw some fairly compelling arguments for Good Magic on YouTube. But I still think Justify takes this one. It's the fastest track, and that's where Justify excels.

2/5 for Justify now. And 3/1 odds for Good Magic. Looks like the others either fell a bit or stayed the same. Does seem like this is a 2 horse race. Good Magic did get 2nd in the Derby after all. IF I were to bet on this one, but I'm not, just saying.. I would put equal money on both.

I think a lot of betters probably are going that route.

In other news.. what is going on with the Preakness and all the mud??

Preakness 2018 is all about the mud

It's one thing to have a muddy race track. But the entire grounds? Wow. I heard they are considering leaving Pimlico in 2020. Maybe this is one reason why.

That'd make sense. Seems like the track and grounds is deteriorating. We spoke in another thread about maybe covering the tracks.... Why can't they cover at least the track to keep this exact thing from happening?

No idea, man. On top of that, the weather for the race was super foggy. Looked pretty miserable for everyone in the audience. Wonder how many of them could actually even see the race itself? Here's the replay. Justify did win, even through all that.
