They've done it! The Golden State Warriors have defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 108-85 for the NBA Championship. This gives them their 3rd title in 4 seasons. I was pretty shocked to see the Cavs get beat so badly in this one. I totally expected around a 10 point spread, at the very most. I figured they'd come back strong later in the game, considering Lebron and the Cavs are known for being a dominant 2nd half team.

The Cavs were only ahead once the entire game, and that was only by 1 point. This must be pretty devastating for Lebron, he doesn't take losing very lightly. Curry was on point the entire game though and had a total of 37 points. But as it were.... he still did not get Finals MVP. That's disappointing. I genuinely think he deserves it. But it's hard to argue with them giving the award to Kevin Durant. He absolutely killed it, finishing the game with 43 points. Yep, he definitely should hold the honor.

I wonder what the Cavs are going to do next year. Can they keep this up?

Definitely they cannot. I would be shocked if Lebron stays in Cleveland after that finals series. Was super obvious to everyone that as great as he is, he can't beat a super team like the Warriors alone. Unfortunately for the Cavs, all they have is Lebron to count on. Once he leaves, they will go back to being a team that can't even make the playoffs.

Real question is, where do you think Lebron will go? Seems like the Lakers might get him. I would like to see him with the 76ers.

Also, congrats to the Warriors. They really do have a super stacked team and proved even in a year where they didn't play their best at stretches, they still are extremely hard to beat, even for just a single game. Almost impossible right now to beat in a 7 game series. If everyone stays, it's hard not to see them winning at least a few more in a row.

Oops, my bad. I meant can the *Warriors keep this up.

Also, really good points on LeBron. Can you imagine how pissed off all of Cleveland is going to be if (when) James moves to the Lakers? There will be riots.

They should all be aware it's going to happen. And honestly be happy he gave them their first NBA title before he left again. I don't think they will riot. The coach isn't great and the other players on the team aren't good enough to help Lebron win it all. Plus they have no money to go out and get another good player. Lebron only has like 4 good years left. He should leave, in my opinion.

As for the Warriors, they can absolutely keep it going. And I would be surprised if they don't.
