Oregon State and Arkansas - both teams were carried into the finals by their offense. Check out this stat from ESPN:

The Beavers hit their way to four wins after an opening-game loss to North Carolina. They're scoring 9.6 runs per game at this CWS while hitting .351. For Arkansas, which never trailed against Texas, Texas Tech or Florida in reaching the championship round for the first time since 1979, the numbers are nearly as gaudy -- a .330 batting average and 7.7 runs per game.

Both of these team's line-ups are outperforming any other team since 2011, by a large margin as well. I'm all for a offensive heavy CSW this year. Don't think either team has a shut out pitcher. So we should be in store for some high scoring games.

I think Arkansas has had the more impressive run in the playoffs. So that'd be my pick.

Hope the weather clears up. Been pretty ridiculous with all the delays. Game 1 just got delayed until Tuesday.

Really turned out to be good pitching by Arkansas and a lot of miscues by Oregon State that decided game 1 --

Game 2 was way more entertaining IMO. The best moment for me was the top of the 9th, with 2 outs, 2 strikes and Arkansas was up 3 to 2, and they were on the mound.. all they needed was one more out. One more strike really.

There was a runner on third. Then a pop fly went up and 3 different Arkansas players went for it, in the out of bounds area by 1st base. 2 of the players sort of ran into each other, and a very catchable foul ball for the win was uncaught.

That was a defining moment for the whole tournament. Right after that, Oregon State hit a grounder into left field and brought the on base runner in to tie the game, and then went on to score a few more times and win.

If Oregon State goes on to win this series, that single missed opportunity will haunt those players I'll bet, at least for an entire year.

Highlights: Trevor Larnach's ninth-inning blast lifts Oregon State past Arkansas, forces College...

I'm not a huge fan of college baseball, but it was fun watching OSU win last night because Oregon is my adopted state and it's always fun watching your home team win.

And you're right. I bet those Arkansas players will have nightmares for years about that botched play that would have given them the win. I can't imagine how they are feeling today.

Yeah man, for sure. After getting blanked like that in game 3, makes me wonder if their spirits were just completely deflated. That's not to say that the Oregon State pitching wasn't great, because it was. But to lose 5-0 in game 3 when you were one of the highest scoring offenses in the CSW for the last decade and competed so close with OSU in the first 2 games, it seems like it certainly played a factor.
