The wildcard round is over. Dallas and Carolina pulled out wins in the NFC. That leaves the Packers and Seahawks to battle it out for the NFC Championship against those two. And the Colts and Ravens won, leaving match-ups with the Patriots and Broncos for AFC supremacy. That's the Elite 8.

    Dallas @ Green Bay
    Carolina @ Seattle
Winner of those two matches play each other for a super bowl spot.

    Indy @ Denver
    Baltimore @ New England
Same thing, winner plays other winner for super bowl spot.

So, who' it gonna be? Lots of good potential story lines, almost no matter what happens. We could see Peyton Manning battling it out against Seattle in an ultimate Super Bowl rematch. Or Aaron Rodgers go for a second ring against fellow elite QB Tom Brady, going for, what his fourth ring?

Or.. my favorite: Tony Romo and company swinging into Arizona Stadium against (my guess) Denver in a rematch, where the last time Romo through for over 500 yards, and the two teams collectively put up almost 100 points on the board. That to me would be a great super bowl matchup: Cowboys v Broncos.

So, who is your pick? What story line are you looking forward to the most? Or which one do you think is most likely to play out?

*** keep this thread going on through the playoffs and into the Super Bowl, so we can discuss all the match-ups leading up to and right after the big game ****

I'm going to go with the Packers. Not for any reason in particular, other than Rogers is my favorite quarter back this year. I think they'll at least hit the Super Bowl.

I hate the Packers with an undying passion, so I would pretty much root for any team other than them.

The Patriots look damn good, as usual, this year. So do the Seahawks. If I were a betting man, I'd bet on those teams for the Super Bowl and would have to go with the Seahawks for a repeat.

When I lived in Chicago for a few years, I used to go to BWW or somewhere playing the game and just root for any other team than the Bears. Not because I didn't like the Bears. But because it was more fun than rooting for the team that everyone was rooting for. I've made more people mad than I can even count. All in good fun though. The worst/funnest was when it was a Packers game. If you even slightly smile when they score you piss off pretty much every one there. I understand where your coming from.

My best friend is a die hard Packers fan and he does the same thing. He lives in downtown Chicago and goes to different sports bars and roots against anyone the Bears are playing. It's all in good fun.

Seattle, all the way. I don't have A team. But I like the west coast the most. And they definitely look prime for repeat. Go Hawks.

Denver Broncos...it's now or never for Peyton Manning. Age is catching up to him. The Broncos defense will win it for him.

Okay my hope for the Broncos and a fading Peyton manning has reached a reality check. The Broncos were simply over matched against the Colts. If the Colts play like they did against the Broncos they should also beat the Patriots.

Seahawks versus Patriots in Super Bowl.

Agreed. I really can't see Seattle or New England losing at home. And a Patriots Seattle SB should be a great game. If it does come down to those two, I say... New England, Belichick and Brady get another ring.
