Broncos down the Pats. I'm very happy for both Manning and NFL fans in general. As talented as Brady and the Pats organization is, another damn Pats super bowl was not something I was looking forward to.

Only 1-2 in super bowls in his career, with this looking like it's his last chance, how do you think he will fair against the NFC champ?

Woohoo! Freaking awesome on so many levels. Nobody wanted to see the Patriots in again and Manning is a great story. Two great defenses will be in the Super Bowl whether Carolina or Arizona win. I predict Manning edges out Carolina and he retires on top.

Manning will end on a high note. He should win this, and then I personally hope he retires. (and doesn't pull a Favre)

I'd love to see Manning win this but he's been flat out bad this season and now he's going up against the 2nd ranked defense. IF the Broncos win, it'll be because the BRONCOS won not Manning. I love the guy but I don't see him coming out with 5 touchdowns. I hope I'm wrong.

I don't think I'm alone in thinking that this was his last rodeo. Not many players get to go out on top and what better way to be remembered that winning a Super Bowl on your final game? So many great quarterbacks have tried to fight on when they should have retired and it never turns out well for them. I can't see Manning making that mistake.

Im absolutely with you. Even the first interviewer to question him on the field asked if it was his retirement. Peyton just smiled really big and said, "Well, im gonna take a minute and talk to my family and enjoy this time".

It would be way better (for ratings and views) for him to announce his retirement a bit later than the SB.

Announcer during the game (I forget who) said he was doing the classy thing, to not steal limelight attention away from his teammates and franchise by making any big announcement of retirement. Totally agree there. I really hope he leaves on the highest note possible, the more I think about it. Can't ever get better than now.
