Crazy how many supposed 'high potential, highly pre-ranked' teams from last year ended up in the bottom 10. Dallas, Ravens, and Dolphins were all expected to do really well.

Here's how the draft selection will begin, on April 28th of 2016. Also, here's how Sports Illustrated sees the top 10 going down, considering the teams' needs per position vs what's available:

    1. Titans - Laremy Tunsil, OT, Ole Miss
    2. Browns - Paxton Lynch, QB, Memphis
    3. Chargers - Jalen Ramsey, Safety, Florida State
    4. Cowboys - Myles Jack, LB, UCLA
    5. Jaguars - Joey Bosa, OL, Ohio State
    6. Ravens - Noah Spence, OLB, Eastern Kentucky
    7. 49ers -Jared Goff, QB, Cal
    8. Dolphins - Vernon Hargreaves, CB, Florida
    9. Buccaneers - Ronnie Stanley, OT, Notre Dame
    10. Giants - Shaq Lawson, DE, Clemson

#1 makes sense to me. They already have Mariota. Don't see a QB going first. And Tunsil is very NFL ready.

For the rest, interesting list. I think the Cowboys should go QB or RB, but they have a lot of holes on that team. Myles Jack could really help too. Would be curious if Cleveland goes QB again, after the Manziel debacle. But then again, maybe they HAVE to now.

How do you see the draft going?

Cowboys do need to draft a QB. It's the perfect time for it. They always hover around 8-8. Don't see them with this high of a draft pick for a long time afterward. And Romo only has a few years left, ideally 2-4 completely healthy years. They need to take a page from Green Bay and mentor a rookie QB on the bench for a few years.

Maybe Jared Goff will go to the Browns, over Lynch? He is getting tons of hype as the best, NFL ready QB to take.

The Browns so desperately need a good QB.

Think he'll be able to bring the magic "Comeback Kid" style, like Montana did for the 49ers back in the day?

6'4'' 205lbs . Weird article is coming out of the combine today that Goff has small hands though. Not a euphemism either, funny enough. They actually measure potential QBs hand length. He comes in at a 9'. Where I guess the norm is closer to 10..? Who knows. That seems silly.

Anyways, big dude even still. I wonder if he went to San Fran if he would follow in that vein as Montana. I suppose it's possible. But it seems like he has catapulted to the #1 qb choice of the draft. I'm thinking now that the Browns or Cowboys will jump at him before it gets to #7. They could really use Goff in San Fran though too. So hard to see him falling outside the top 10, no matter what.

I seriously had no clue that they did that, but considering the cash teams put down on players, especially QBs, I can see why. It just seems a bit excessive. If the boy can throw the ball, the boy can throw the ball.

Only been 2 months since this posting, and man things have changed.

Rams trade up for #1. Eagles do the same for #2, both trading a lot to get the top spots. Meaning both teams really want their quarterback of the future. Can't imagine it being anyone else other than Goff 1, then Wentz 2. Or flip those names, either way.

Funny, Wentz wasn't even on the radar for top 10 even a few months ago. Now he is clearly either going first or second overall. Pretty crazy.

Really then begs the question of what the Chargers and Cowboys and Jaguars will end up doing. Might not make any difference for Chargers, as they weren't likely to touch a qb in this draft anyways. Rivers is set. So probably Ramsey still. He is a ridiculously talented, diverse position kind of athlete.

For the 'boys, NFL.com thinks RB Ezekiel Elliott. Hard for me to see them going running back though that high. I mean they traded Murray, the best rusher in the league on his best year, the next year. Clearly they want value at RB, over big money. They just signed Alfred Morris to the team too. So likely they will go for a defensive player instead. Could easily still be Myles Jack.

Lastly, the lowly Jaguars. NFL.com now predicts Laremy Tunsil at #5. I completely agree. A shame he doesn't go #1, like this forum originally thought. Oh well, they would be fools not to take him at 5. Joey Bosa is still a great choice here. But Tunsil overtakes all remaining names, in my opinion.
