Just when you think there was a chance for the Jets, the Browns cash in. The Jets didn't seem overly excited about the prospect of signing Robert Griffin III anyhow. They seemed to be distracted with other things. That means, we will probably start to see more stuff in the news about the Jets trying to resign Ryan Fitzpatrick. But, if Fitzpatrick leaves, who do you think is going to start for the Jets in 2016?

I'm thinking Geno Smith or, maybe even Bryce Petty.

I think the Jets may have lucked out. RG3 has been out for over a year and the last time he played he tore is ACL and he was benched for Kirk Cousins for a reason. I want to root for the guy because he seems like a class act but I'm not sure that he can do it. Maybe I'm wrong and his rookie season was who he really was and it'll be a great pickup. It really just seemed like the league figured him out in the 2013 season, then he got hurt, and the rest is history.

    Yeah, I gotta agree.

I think Cleveland was desperate, as usual. They looked at the NFL draft class of QB's about to be on the market, thought none looked particularly awesome as their franchise QB of the future, and went and scooped up RGIII for the interim, until they can actually draft 'the next coming'.

I don't think RGIII will have much success in that program. But they haven't had even a decent qb in forever. So, maybe it will be an upgrade over McCown and the like. Either way, I bet they know they are destined for a few more years of suck. And that means a few more years of high draft picks. Fingers crossed, they are.

I see about zero chance of Griffin being successful with the Browns. Griffin needs some serious training to be where he needs to be. The Browns don't have a training program that can make that happen.
