It's not every day you see as much vehicular carnage in NASCAR. Chris Beuscher's barrel roll was hard to watch. With just 8 laps to go, we get a 12-car wreck. According to this, NASCAR Research & Development Center is investigating Sunday's chaos. It should have certainly raise some eyebrows. I think what took the cake was Dale Earnhardt Jr. and his steering wheel detaching during a caution lap. Not only did he wreck twice, but his steering wheel just popped off. I'll include the link to the video here.
Well race fans, I'm happy that no one was seriously injured. I think we sometimes take the danger of auto racing for granted because we've become sort of desensitized by it. Remember folks, these guys are racing in tight packs that exceed 200 mph, with only steel boxes to protect them from danger.

Luckily it was during a caution flag; could have been seriously bad for him otherwise. These driver's adrenaline must already be up there for the whole race. Wonder how much Dale's shot up even more when he was trying to steer with just the metal cylinder to guide him? Jesus. Not a good day for Nascar at all.
