NFC and AFC Championship Games discussion

I'm not sure which game I'm looking forward to more, the NFC or AFC Championship match. Seattle v Green Bay has the makings of an instant classic. Just something about both of those programs going at it. The coaches are great. The QBs are both elite, and really intelligent. Both have exciting and psychical running games. And they both know how to get up for and finish out a game in dominant style. Both have won championships in the last few years too, so you know its going to be an electric bout.

Then you have Indy v New England. Honestly, at first I was hoping for a Peyton/Brady rematch for Super Bowl entry. But the more I think about it (after Peyton and company got owned in the Divisional round) I like this match-up even better. Andrew Luck is the MVP of the league, as far as I am concerned. No other team has a QB that does so much, with such a mediocre surrounding staff. Their other best player is TY Hilton. And yes, he is good. But lets face it. On half the teams in the league, he would be at best a really good #3, something like Kenny Stills in New Orleans; a break-the-top-off-the-defense player, and that's it. But since they are so lacking at wideout, he is their #1. And they have almost no running game either. Lastly, Indy's D is only respectable just barely thanks to one outstanding player, Vonate Davis. So really this is a game solely relying on third year talent Andrew Luck to carry them all the way to the Super Bowl.

And Luck just might, if he didn't have to take on a really good Patriots defense, in Foxborough. Not to mention Tom Brady and Gronkowski (who is as close to unstoppable as any player at any position on any team out there).

Which game are you looking forward to most? Also, who wins each and makes it to the 49th Super Bowl? I am really wanting to see the NFC game a bit more, just because it should live up to the hype of the two best NFC teams going at it. But there is some real appeal to Luck defying the odds, and pulling the upset that could be pretty sweet. My predictions-- Seattle v Patriots in the big one. Both #1 seeds in Super Bowl 49. If that happens, I think it will be the first time in a quite a long while.

I think this will be the outcome. It should be an all out showdown of pure skill. There is really no other way to describe what both of those teams have. Rogers has been in the game a lot longer than Wilson. And with that much more time put in, he will know all of the tricks to keep his team strong during crunch time. Where as Wilson has a heat-seeking laser as an arm and a defense that isn't afraid to take big risks. Risks that seem to pay off more than not. All said, I'm still going to say it's the Packer's year to win the SB. They're just too well put together this year.

Yeah. Packers are very well put together. But Rodgers isn't 100%. And Seattle already beat them, in their house if I remember correctly, in week 1. And Seattle's D wasn't nearly as healthy then as it is now. They are clicking better than anyone. Also, Rodgers was 100% at the beginning of the year, and they still lost. I just don't see GB winning, the more I think about it. Wilson is ever bit as dynamic, albeit in a much different way.

Both should be really good games. It's of no surprise who I'll be rooting for in the NFC Championship, but it should be a good game either way. As much as it pains me to say it, Seattle and Green Bay are the two bets teams in the NFC and it's anyone's guess who will win. On the other hand, I have a feeling that the Patriots are just going to roll over the Colts. I may be proven wrong, but I don't see the Patriots losing the AFC Championship game at home.
