LSU will be a better program without Les Miles

2-2 start, 1-1 in conference was enough. Les Miles has finally been fired, after 12 seasons with LSU. Looks like the defensive line coach Ed Orgeron will be offered the interim coaching gig.

I doubt many following this program are surprised by this. Seems like most are surprised he held his job this long. Talks were they were considering parting ways with Miles at the end of last season. But with LSU ranked #5 in the preseason, seems like they wanted to give him one more chance at a title.

Losing to Wisconsin and Auburn will do it though. Wonder where Miles will end up now? Either way, LSU will be much better off. They recruit well, and it has nothing to do with Miles. In fact, what could have been.. LSU could be 4-0, who knows, if Miles hadn't been the head coach this year. Both losses came down to terrible coaching decisions.

I am just surprised it didn't happen sooner. The coach can absolutely make or break any team. Hopefully the show out from now on.

1-0 without Miles. :) Was against Mizzou though. If they can get any 2 of the: Ole Miss, Alabama, Texas A&M, Arkansas foursome, the firing will be totally justified.
