This season for the 49ers' has been filled with plenty of drama. The most of which, Colin Kaepernick has been the recipient of. It all started when he was benched prior to the start of the season. Let's not forget, this is the same QB who replaced Alex smith (due to injury), and led the team to a Super Bowl. That made many 49ers' fans quite angry. The replacement that was chosen over Kap?.... Blaine Gabbert. It almost hurts to say that. Gabbert was one of the biggest disappointments in the NFL. Dare I say, right up there with Johnny Manziel. They can blame it on Kap's poor media coverage, or whatever. But I think we all know that there has been players with breathtakingly worse media coverage than him, and they still played.

Other than that, there's the whole knealing during the National Anthem. This is a topic that I don't really like to discuss anymore. Not because I fell strongly one way or the other, but because other people do. Very few people seem to be open minded about it. But nonetheless, it cause a ridiculous amount of drama.

The votes were tallied and awards given out for the 49ers' on Friday. The team voted on Kaepernick to receive the Len Eshmont Award. This award goes to the player who, "best exemplifies the inspirational and courageous play of Len Eshmont, an original member of the 1946 49ers team."
