Warriors vs the Spurs.. without Durant

    Are the Warriors the best team in the West still without Durant on the floor? It's an odd question because they dominated so heavily last year. And they are still favored to win almost every single regular season game left on the schedule. But the Spurs might have just surpassed them, without Durant. (out indefinitely with knee injury)

    Circle March 11th and March 29th. Those are the last two times these teams will meet before the playoffs start. Durant may or may not be available for the playoffs, but it's a lock both of these teams are in as the #1/#2. Which order and who's really better remains to be seen.

    I am starting to think the Spurs are the favorite now. Kawhi Leonard is that good.

    If these teams make it to the finals and play each other (is that possible?), how do you see it going down if Durant isn't able to contribute?

    It really is an odd question. I normally don't like to look at any team and single out one player as the winning factor. But as far as the NBA goes, it seems as though everyone has done just that....

    Cavaliers = Lebron James.

    GSW = Steph Curry

    Chicago Bulls = Dwayne Wade

    Etc....

    I'm just mentioning the names because there are so many people (not you) that completely forget about the rest of the athletes in this situation. If I had to guess, I'd put my money on the Spurs winning. Not because Durrant is out, and definitely not because I don't think Curry can pick up the slack. I think they will win because they just won 7 games in a row, and 12 of their last 14. They have the momentum and the players to pull it off.

    That's not to say the Cavs haven't been doing great, they have. But I think they will gas out from frustration and confusion from losing one of their main gears for a big game. This is just my humble opinion.
