    March Madness Live Bracket

We have 2 upsets so far. 11 Xavier over 6 Maryland, and 12 Middle Tenn over 5 Minnesota. Luckily I picked Xavier, but not Middle Tenn. Got the others so far. I usually pick pretty straight in the first round; just chose the higher seed. But I usually will pick 2-3 middle match-ups for upsets. Every year it seems a few 4-6 seeds fall to some 11-13 seeds. Every other match-up spread seems pretty safe to pick the higher seed.

    Anyone still perfect?

I need to stop playing these brackets. I won my very first one, then haven't won or even came in second since. It always goes in the first round. My predictions usually pretty good, but I never put it on paper and bet on it. I try to go the oddball route.

I'm not perfect, but I'm doing surprisingly well compared to previous years. I should clarify that doesn't mean much considering I've placed in the bottom third of my pool for the past handful of years!

The only region I'm still perfect on is the East. I definitely didn't predict that Middle Tennessee would beat Minnesota and I thought VCU would have upset St. Mary's. But other than that, I'm still doing ok.

Villanova falls.. one of my brackets just feel apart. Luckily I picked Gonzaga in my other one, to play N. Carolina in the finals.

    No perfect brackets left standing.

Last perfect bracket busts after 40 games in the 2017 NCAA tournament

Best one got 39 games right. Missed out on the Iowa State game. A good line from the article:

For reference, the odds of flipping a coin and having it land on heads 39 times in a row is 1 in 549,755,813,888.

That's crazy. Do you know of anywhere that has which games had the most destruction? I'd be interested to see what kind of impact Duke, Michigan, etc had as a whole.

Yeah. Seems like Villanova losing was the worst of it:

This year, in the Capital One NCAA March Madness Bracket Challenge game, 22 brackets made it to Saturday unscathed, but when 8-seed Wisconsin downed overall No. 1 Villanova in the 34th game of the tournament, all seven remaining perfect brackets were busted.

The biggest upset of the day, Wisconsin's win over 1-seed VIllanova, impacted more than just the perfect brackets. In NCAA.com's game, Villanova was the third-highest picked team to win the title, with 10.45 percent of our users picking the Wildcats to repeat as national champions. What's more, 40.2 percent had the 1-seed in their Final Four.
