My Top NFL Draft Prospects

The NFL draft is something that has always been interesting to me. NFL scouts and analyzers work continuously to make sure that their numbers are correct. They spend years watching players straight out of highschool, all the way until their NFL debut. And when it really comes down to it, all of their work is built up to just an educated guess.

Take Johnny Manziel for example, he was adored as the No.1 pick for his athletic skills. Though when it came down to everything else that goes along with being an NFL star, he quickly became useless for the team. So all of the work by the scouts/analyzers ended up being for nothing. There are no actual answers as to if an athlete is going to be worth millions of dollars, only guesses.

Though for us NFL fans, guessing which athletes are ultimately going to be successful is most of the fun. Here are the top 3 prospects that I see being the most successful out of this year's draft:

Myles Garrett: Pass Rusher for Texas A&M

He is most everyone's top pick for the draft. Last year he had 33 tackles, 8.5 sacks and a forced fumble. He is being compared heavily to Julius Peppers. The Cleveland Browns are most likely going to pick him up.

    Leonard Fournette: RB for LSU

I like Fournette not only because he is a monster of a rusher, but he also has clear passion for the game. He said this, “I could have been like any knucklehead out here selling drugs, a criminal or doing whatever. But no, I was on the football field 24/7". I see him being a key player for the team.

    Jonathan Allen: DT for Alabama

Allen's stats for the 2016 season were impressive, 69 tackles, 16 TFL, led team with 10.5 sacks. Along with that he won the 2016 Chuck Bednarik and Bronco Nagurski Award as the nation's top defender on the top defense. I have full faith that he will be a long-term reliable player.

This is interesting. Everyone is expecting for him to go #1 overall, but the Browns have that pick. And they want a QB now. There is zero chance Garrett falls to them if they wait for the #12 pick. But the QB they want in draft, Mitchell Trubisky, very likely will be there at #12, but it's also no guarantee.

So they could do extremely well and land both, or make a false move and only get one. I think it will be a big mistake to pass on Garrett. If you're a 49ers fan, have your fingers crossed they screw this decision up.

Mitchell Trubisky Reportedly Still Potential No. 1 Pick in NFL Draft by Browns

Well the Browns ended up staying course and picked up Myles Garrett. Smart move on them. They could have picked up Trubisky at No. 1. They also skipped on a first round QB altogether before picking up Kizer in the second round. Though he apparently it's been confirmed he will be sitting to start the season, leaving Kessler to be the starter.

This makes me wonder what Cleveland will look like this year. They could really use some wins their way.
