The Packers Need More than Rodgers to Get Another Super Bowl

The Green Bay Packers are one of the only teams I can think of that I relate success to basically one player. When I am watching a Packer's game I am really only focused on what Arron Rodgers is going to do next, both athletically and play-wise. He seems to be the only player on the team that you can rely on to win the game, or lose the game.

For instance, if we were talking about a Denver Broncos win, it would be normal talking about how the defense/Manning/entire offense won the game. Same goes for most other teams. But to me, that's not the Packers. It is either going to be a conversation about how Rodgers throws a crazy long pass for the win, or how he ran it in for a late td, so on and so forth.

My point to this is that the Packers need more guys who are there to compete at every game, not ones that show out 1/6 games (like Randall Cobb, Clay Matthews, and honestly.... just not many more come to mind). Maybe throw some fresh faces in there to get some nerves running. Something has to change.

I genuinely think the Packers have what it takes with their roster as it stands....they're just not doing it. The have a great defensive line. They have talented receivers. They have a great QB. They have a great coach. They have all the right parts to build a winning machine, but it seems like they just don't have enough fuel to keep it running long enough to matter.

Offensively, they need a star running back. That could really change things for them. Eddie Lacy is gone now, leaving the door wide open for one of their drafted rookies to do something big there. If they can get a running game that's dangerous, that could propel them to a potential Super Bowl team.
