The 20-year-old birthday girl, Jelena Ostapenko will take on Simona Halep at the French Open final on Saturday. If she is able to keep it together and pull out a win this weekend, Ostapenko will be the first unseeded woman to win since Margaret Scriven won in 1933. I personally hope she will win, but it won't be without a hard fight.

Ostapenko said, "When I came here, I didn't expect I would be in the final. The first match was a tough one (against Louisa Chirico) and I won it. It gave me confidence. Then every match I was playing better and better.".

Both athletes had quite impressive semi-final's. Ostapenko, the world No.47 defeated Switzerland's Timea Bacsinszky on Thursday with a 7-6, 3-6, 6-3 three-set victory. Though she may be riding high at the moment, it will be much more difficult to get those kind of numbers against her final opponent. Halep, the world No.4, took out Karolina Pliskova with an almost matching victory of 6-4, 3-6, 6-3. This will be the first Grand Slam victory for either, though Halep's second time in the finals since 2014.

I am going to put my money on Halep. I think she wants the win too much to let it slip through her fingers.

The match will be on NBC this Saturday, June 10th at 9 a.m.

#47 vs the #4 in the world.. I'm thinking Halep as well. Feels like there are way less upsets in tennis than other sports.
