LSU is back again, for the 18th time. Going for their 7th championship win. And then you have Florida, making their 11th appearance, not having won it all, yet.

Seems like we have a really good match-up for the CWS finale. LSU has the power hitters. Florida has the great defense. Both have shutdown pitchers. I'm thinking LSU pulls it out here. Either way, this an all SEC affair. Pretty fitting as it's been the best conference in baseball, for a minimum of this year. Arguably for a few years.

Keeping this post open before, during and after the series for discussion.. how do you see this series playing out?

Well, I think it will be LSU for the final win. I would have to agree, SEC earns its clout.

Looks like this series is going to come down to the lucky breaks. India's bounce in the 4th, where the ball hit just inside, then bounced over the wall for a homer really was the lucky break difference in this game. Went 4-3 in favor of the Gators.

A one game lead in this series I think is going to be too hard to overcome for LSU. I am looking forward to Florida getting their first victory, and I think it will come in game 2.

You can see the home run I'm talking about right here: Florida takes Game 1 in a CWS battle of familiar foes

Wow, you called it. You should have put some money down on that call. :)
