Looking over the NFL.com preseason power rankings.. Some usual suspects, then a few that I'm surprised to see so high on the list. Top 3 make total sense to me:

    1. Patriots
    2. Falcons
    3. Packers

    Then it gets interesting.

    4. Raiders
    5. Steelers
    6. Giants
    7. Seahawks
    8. Cowboys
    9. Chiefs
    10. Buccaneers

I guess adding Marshawn Lynch in Oakland is believed to make them an immediate Super Bowl contender. The way they played in stretches last year, especially on offense with a rb committee, I can see that. Just really surprised to see them #4, ahead of the Seahawks and Steelers.

Same with the Bucs. I know Winston is expected to be a lot better this year, but I would like to see that first before you put them over teams like the Colts, Redskins and the Cardinals.

    The rest of the list:

    11. Titans
    12. Cardinals
    13. Lions
    14. Texans
    15. Dolphins
    16. Redskins
    17. Broncos
    18. Vikings
    19. Panthers
    20. Eagles
    21. Colts (this one seems really low to me, I would think they would be 10-15)
    22. Saints
    23. Bengals
    24. Chargers
    25. Bills
    26. Jaguars
    27. Rams
    28. Ravens
    29. Bears
    30. 49ers
    31. Browns
    32. Jets

I'm actually all about the Raiders this year too. As long as Carr stays healthy, I think they are #4 right now. Arguably the 2nd best O-line in the league. (behind the Cowboys). Crabtree and Cooper at wideout, Lynch at tail, Carr's ability to run.. good offensive no doubt. Then they were a top 5 D last year I think as well. Or at least 10. So all around solid team.

A few days before the season starts, of course, changes have happened. Here's the latest on all this:

    Top 8:

    1. Patriots
    2. Seahawks (moved up 5 spots, not sure I understand why)
    3. Falcons
    4. Packers
    5. Steelers
    6. Raiders
    7. Giants
    8. Cowboys
