Oh yeah! It's official! The contract has been signed and fight is scheduled for May 2nd. I can't wait for this one. It's supposed to be the highest grossing match of all time pushing $400 million dollars gross. What will happen? Who will be left standing? I think both will technically be left standing. It will more than likely be by decision I think. With Pac Man the victor. I guess we will actually get to see this time.

Excellent. It's about damn time. I've been hearing about this and waiting for years now. Will be the first PPV I'll purchase in years. No doubt it will break records. I hope Manny pulls it out.

This should be another great fight. I'm really looking forward to watching it.

I can't believe that this match will be grossing that much. It goes to show that while boxing may not be as popular as it once was, it is still able to draw massive crowds whenever there is a big fight.

I'm a little conflicted about this fight. I want to root for the American, but I'm also not a huge fan of people who admit to beating their significant others. For that reason, I'll probably be rooting for Pacquiao.

    Get this, per Forbes:

Tickets have not gone on sale to the public yet, but they are expected to start at $1,000 with ringside seats fetching a face value of $5,000. This will result in a total gate of around $40 million for the 16,800-seat MGM Grand Garden Arena. It would double the previous biggest gate in boxing history, which was $20 million for the Mayweather vs. Canelo Alvarez fight billed as “The One” in September 2013.

On top of what, $90 a pop to stream it into your living room? This will really be the Fight of the Century in more ways than just one. Lots of pressure on these guys. Can't imagine. Hope they deliver.

That is an insane amount of money. The only thing that beats those ticket prices is the Super Bowl, but I wonder if this fight would generate more money due to it being on pay-per-view. Millions of people spending $90 a pop will bring in a hell of a lot of money.

I also hope they deliver. I imagine it will be a long fight, but could you imagine spending that much and having a TKO in the first couple of rounds?! That would be terrible.

Yeah it would be. But I would pay a tad more to see Pacman knock Floyd out. Not the other way around though. I really don't like paying for ppb or extra channels. But this is something I'm definitely going to pay for. My girl asked if I wanted to just go to a bar/restaurant to see the fight and just pay a head charge per person like they do. But I can only assume every place like that is going to be super packed.

Actually it will be $99.95 to view it PPV in HD. Just looked it up. $89.95 for standard definition. Also hear that bars have to pay a commercial fee of well over the usual minimum of $1500, if they want to play it for their customers. Expect entry fees if you're going to a bar to watch.

Man, had to google this. Found this LA Times article, check this out:

The fees are steep. Businesses are charged based on size; the more seats, the higher the fees. Those with up to 50 seats must pay $1,600 for the Pacquiao-Bradley fight; those with 51 to 100 seats will be charged $2,200.

And that's just for the Bradley/Pacquiao fight. If you consider that the PPV for regular people is like 45% more for this pac-may fight than any other fight in the history of PPV, then the bars must be paying something like 45% more too. So probably it's closer to $2000-$3000 for the average bar, just to show this fight. I couldn't find the exact amount though.

I know that some of the bars around here are selling 'tickets' to see it. From what I've seen before, there's usually just a cover charge and first come first serve. The prices are pretty up there too. Almost like their selling seats closest to the tv.

Any idea on the prices? I haven't checked my area just yet, but figure it'd be about the same, right? All being chain bars and whatnot..
