World Series finally has the 2 best teams in it (Astros v Dodgers)

The 101-61 Houston Astros vs the 104-58 LA Dodgers in the World Series. That's kind of refreshing to see. It's slightly arguable that it would be even better if the Indians (102-60) made from the AL instead, especially since the Indians went 5-1 against the Astros the regular season.

Aside from that, I still think the 2 best teams in the league made it to the World Series. Both are 2 of only 3 100+ win teams, playing consistent and dominant throughout the season and (most of) the playoffs. Was a close one with the Astros and Yankees.

I think that's why the Astros are the underdogs going in. Hard to find any holes to the Dodgers. Much as I would like to root for the underdogs here, give me the Dodgers in a 4-2 series. Bullpen is just too stout.

Yeah I hear you. As much as I'd like to have a Texas team actually win the series, you can't hold a candle to the Dodgers. The Astros should put up a decent fight though. My fantasy World Series would be the Rangers against the Astros. Texas would spontaneously combust if that were to happen. ;)

Don't look now but it's a tied series. After last night's game it kinda feels like this is going to 7.

Yeah, if that Astros/Rangers WS were possible it would be an epic Texas clash. Lots of trash talk going down.

Agreed. But that's why it's just a fantasy. Rangers and the Cubs would be awesome too.

That 11 inning second game was a classic nail biter to the end. If the series goes to the 7th game and ends with an extra inning game like that, it will be remembered as one of the best in history.

Game 5 was another classic for the ages, a 13 to 12 win in 10 innings. Neither the Dodgers nor the Astros could hold their leads, the toughest for the Astros giving up a three run lead in the ninth inning. You have to commend the Dodgers for keep coming back to tie or take the lead when the Astros were seemingly putting the game away.

Both teams had 14 hits, and each had one error. How even can you get? The Astros squeezed one more run out of their 14 hits. For those of us who stayed up to the end, the Houston fans acted like they had just won the World Series game 7. And perhaps this will be seen as the key game if they prevail in seven. Hard to top it.

Going to 7. Most are actually saying just what you wrote, this is one of the best WS in history. It's got to be one of if not the best in my lifetime at least (last 3 decades or so). It almost doesn't matter what happens in Game 7. A blowout on either side, a close one, regardless it's going to be great to watch. But of course, to push it over the top... several extra innings, all tied up with a several scores on both sides.
