I will look forward to Clemson beating Alabama by a sizable margin...maybe 21 points or more. Alabama just doesn't have the same caliper of their championship teams from the past.

It wasn't just the two safeties, it was all the knockdowns and hurries by the quarterback as well as batted down passes. The offensive line just was not strong enough to contain Miami's pass rush...but that applies to the other seven losses as well. A good QB might read the defensive schemes better like Tom Brady does and pass the ball quickly. Denver QBs seem to be scrambling for cover as soon as they get the ball from center and miss open guys down the field or throw it way over their heads.

The Denver Broncos are taking on the characteristics of the Cleveland Browns. They have now lost eight games in a row, something they haven't done in 50 years when they lost nine in a row in 1967. The Dolphins snapped a five-game losing streak in beating the Broncos, 9-35.

The game wasn't even close. The team had four turnovers (three by the QB Siemien including a pick-six). No offensive touchdowns. Only a field goal and one defensive touchdown. Siemian was 20 of 42 for 219 yards, three sacks and two safeties.

They also had a blocked punt, a failed onside kick, and a fumbled punt return

The offense failed to convert on their first 11 third downs, finishing 1 for 13.

The defense isn't too bad but they never get a rest.

Next week they have the New York Jets at home...going for nine losses in a row.

As an avid Broncos fan it was tough for me to watch and now write about it. I have no solutions to offer. I suspect the coach will be fired at the end of the season.

Broncos with Paxton Lynch as QB were just as awful. Lynch was injured at end of 3rd quarter and Trevor Simian led a 4th quarter comeback which fell short when the defense couldn't stop a 3rd and long. Broncos have lost 7 in row.

The on field fight with Michael Crabtree didn't help their cause.

After watching the Alabama-Auburn game, Alabama hardly looked like the Alabama teams of the past. The back to back botched snaps from center are what you might see in a lower level high school game. Alabama folded under the pressure. I would rank them 7th behind Georgia and Miami.

Paxton Lynch will start for the Broncos this weekend against Oakland in Oakland. He will be hurried and sacked just like the other QBs. More turnovers. My prediction.

Trump seems to have a problem with African American athletes that don't conform to his political whims. And he targets those athletes as a means to further divide Americans and bolster his own ratings mostly amongst his base. He has now also attacked Marshawn Lynch for sitting during the national anthem.

Marshawn Lynch's mother, however, has fired back at Trump with the following Tweet:

“What NFL team do Trump own? Oh yeah they wouldn’t let him have one!”

Don't get on the wrong side of Lynch's mother or his fans. Lynch is very popular in Oakland, and through his charity has just distributed 500 turkeys to needy families.

Likewise, at Thanksgiving time, one could always find the Obama family working in a food kitchen serving food to needy families. On the other hand, I expect we'll maybe catch glimpses of Trump out on his golf course at Mar-a-Lago.

The Denver Broncos have fired offense coach Mike McCoy and replaced him with Bill Musgrave, the quarterbacks coach, for the remainder of the season following their 6th straight loss of the season. As an avid Broncos fan I suppose Elway needed a scapegoat, but the Broncos problems go much deeper than just the offense. Here are my personal observations.

Weak offensive line. Too many sacks of the QB, and problems in running the ball.

Weak at QB. Trevor Siemian and Brock Osweiller are not the high caliper QBs of the Payton Manning era. They are 24th in scoring at 18.3 points per game, and have not scored over 20 points in seven of their last eight games.

Mike McCoy was an accomplished head coach and defensive coach so it goes beyond just coaching.

Maybe the Broncos should have hired Colin Kaepernick as their quarterback. But then the fans would have blamed him for the losses.

John Elway management decisions. I think everyone agrees that the Denver defense was the premier defense that won the Super Bowl for Denver in 2016. Peyton Manning was on his way down and the defense under Wade Phillips carried the weight. So what did Elway do? He fired all the coaches and failed to elevate Wade Phillips to the head job.

Wade Phillips found a job as defensive coordinator with the Los Angeles Rams and now that team has one of the better defenses in the league...not the best but pretty good for a first year coach and far better than the Broncos. The Rams were 4-12 last season and now they are 7-3 and in first place in the division. That's not entirely due to the defense, but it played a large part.

The Broncos are 3-7 having given up 51 points to Philadelphia and 41 to New England in back to back games. You can't blame that on Mike McCoy.

I've enjoyed listening to Tony Romo's analysis of games all season, especially the fact that he has pretty good insight into what plays the different QBs will call and what they see on the defense alignment to make quick changes. It's like he's in the mind of the QB and calls the plays for the viewer in real time.

An example of this is the NE-Oakland game in Mexico City where he seemed to be able to call many of Tom Brady's moves and catch the subtle signals between Brady and his receivers as they are happening.

MSN Sports: Tony Romo beautifully broke down how Tom Brady communicates with his receivers

The negative publicity by opting to sit on the sidelines could hurt the player's image and future lucrative contracts to sell stuff on TV. Football is not a game for those that don't want to risk getting hurt.
