Pacquiao Vs. Mayweather- The Biggest Fight in History

It's official! Manny Pacquiao will fight Floyd Mayweather on May 2nd. I'm shocked that this is actually happening. Shocked and extremely excited. Anyone who knows me, knows I dislike Mayweather and sincerely hope Pac man shows him the door to a loss. There are plenty of people that disagree with me though. I'd say it's a pretty fair split between the two fighters as to who will be victorious. Mayweather fans swear up and down that Manny won't be able to touch him. Claiming that he is largely better of a fighter. And Pac man fans swear this is the fighter that will knock Floyd off of his high horse. Claiming that Floyd has never been in the ropes with a fighter of this caliber, which leads to his outstanding career.

I say both of those reasons are nonsense. Even though I am a strong Pacquiao supporter for this particular fight, I do not think the reason he will winis due to his caliber being so much greater than his opponent. They are both great fighters. The reason I think Pacquiao will win is because Floyd has never faced such a offensive, fast, and dynamic fighter. Floyd is a defensive beast, yes. But Manny is an offensive honey badger. And everyone knows what honey badgers are capable of. On the flip side, I absolutely do not think Manny will knock Floyd out right away. Floyd is exceptional at defense and is just as good pound for pound as his opponent. When the two meet no one really knows what going to happen.

I have to stress again how much of a shock it was for me to see the picture of the actual document signed and legit. After seeing several articles stating that it was finally official, I just couldn't believe it. We've all been through this too many times to give a serious thought when we see that particular headline. I've been fooled by it several times. The obvious truth is that both of the fighters need this to happen. With tv ratings falling and both men's reputation starting to dwindle (other than Floyd's obnoxious tweets about how much money he has), this fight will turn a major profit for them both.

Floyd had this to say, "I am glad my decision to meet with Manny and discuss making this fight happen helped get the deal done," . He is referring to a chance meeting between the two at a Miami Heat game almost a month ago. The decision was a 60-40 split of a projected up to $400 million dollars. With Floyd getting the bigger share. I'm not going to say he doesn't deserve it. He has made a name for himself. The showing is rumored to be the highest cost ever at a price tag of $89.99. That I do disagree with. Come on. $90 bucks for a show? It's one thing to go to the fight and pay that much, but another when it's in your living room. Which it sure will be in mine.
