I'm sure everyone has seen it by now. Neymar seemingly tripped over himself, fell to the ground, and fumbled around in pain at the World Cup Brazil vs. Mexico match. After a few seconds, he just decides to take it as far as possible.
What's up with these guys? Does the other team get extra penalties if they inflict more pain? I would think that a simple show of damage would be enough, even if their obviously being over dramatic. It's even super common to set-up people to knock you down in many sports. But this? This is just ridiculous. He wasn't even touched....
They should start penalizing these players. It's not funny. It's not good sportsmanship. It doesn't add anything at all to the game or sport. Stop letting it happen, refs.
*NOTE: Neymar IS NOT even reacting to what happened during play. He is reacting to the other player very, very gently touching his ankle at about 20 seconds into the video.
