Tiger Woods Needs to Think About Retiring

Looking at the his performance so far at this year's Ryder Cup, you wouldn't have guessed Tiger Woods was celebrating a win just a few days ago at the Tour Championship. But yet again, here we are. And I know it's not fair to expect a championship performance from Woods at every single tournament, but considering his past career, you'd at least expect some sort of consistency.

Woods and partner Patrick Reed are currently in a rough situation. Matched against England's Tommy Fleetwood and Italy's Francesco Molinari, the two are at a 3-and-1 loss right now which puts Wood's Ryder Cup record at a 13-18-3.

So this leaves me really curious. Is Tiger Woods done? Was his 8th PGA Tour victory just days ago a fluke? It's crazy to me that he went from such a consistent, well-rounded player to ..well.. this. It has to be tough for everyone call you out like this for performing in any way other than perfect, but he's still going along. I honestly think it may be time for him to call it a day. No one is going to give him any slack for retiring at his age and what he's accomplished through the years. And this last Tour win to Ryder performance is proof that no matter what he does, he's going to get hammered if he doesn't either win or come in 2nd every match.

Retire? Nah. He just won a tournament for the first time in like 5 years. It's one day of Ryder cup action. Give him the weekend to redeem himself. Very Happy

Seriously though, he has been getting better and better, more Tiger-like, the last few months leading up to his TOUR win. So I'm not too concerned with the Ryder cup, especially the first 2 days as it's foursomes and better ball play. Let's see how Tiger does on day 3 and in the next tournament. (whenever that is, I think PGA tour is over for the year, yeah?)

Why the U.S. fails miserably every time it comes to Europe

Good read. Explains why Tiger always seems to suck at the Ryder.

I guess I mean he should retire from his point of view. The guy just can't catch a break. He is the perfect example of either being a hero or zero.
