Alabama's playing in it's 4th CFP National Championship game in a row. And Clemson in its 3rd in 4 years. That means this is the 3rd time we get Alabama v Clemson in the finals, in the last 4 years.
Think the college football playoff system is still that superior to the BCS system? I still do for sure. But these results make it pretty clear a few programs in the country are just that much better than everyone else.
Time will change that, I suppose. The Tide can't roll forever..
Alabama won it in 2015 over Clemson 45-40. Then Clemson won 35-31 in 2016. (Skip 2017 where Alabama beat Georgia in OT 26-23). Now for 2018.. how's the tiebreaker going to play out?
I'm real curious to see if Clemson can keep up with Tua. He played basically a perfect game in the Orange Bowl. Only missed 3 passes. Threw 4 tds. They put up 45, right around their season average. Clemson only put up 30 and 3 TDs over Notre Dame.
If I had to call it, I say Alabama wins this, by a touchdown or two. High scoring game though, no doubt.
