Not only will he win the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series Championship, but I think he's the next Jeff Gordon. Feel free to argue if you like, but the evidence speaks for itself.

In all, he has 10 career Cup Series wins and a win in the 2020 NASCAR All-Star Race at Bristol Motor Speedway. Elliott has earned a NASCAR Playoffs berth in each of the past five seasons. He made his first Championship 4 appearance in 2020.

Elliott became the first rookie to win a NASCAR national division championship when he captured the Xfinity Series title in 2014. Elliott was named the Most Popular Driver in the Cup Series in 2018 and '19, an honor his father won 16 times. He has five Xfinity Series wins and three in the Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series.

And I believe he's getting better every year. Yeah, it may be too early to tell, but he was picked to drive Jeff Gordon's No. 24 car for Hendrick Motorsports. In that car, he won rookie of the year. Not to mention, Jeff Gordon himself took on the role of a mentor to him as well. He's been groomed into a real winner. Also, this goes without saying that he comes from racing royalty, his dad is Bill Elliot.

This is his year. He's had four wins, 14 top fives, 21 top 10s, and has led 1083 laps, which is just second to Kevin Harvick. Does anyone else agree? Who has a better chance of winning it?

Its very interesting. So for 2020, we have 4 drivers competing:

Denny Hamlin -- never won. 44 career cup wins. 7 2020 wins.
Brad Keselowski -- won in 2012. 34 total cup wins. 4 2020 wins.
Joey Logano -- won in 2018, 26 total cup wins. 3 2020 wins.
Chase Elliott -- never won, 10 career cup wins. 4 2020 wins.

Chase is definitely the least experienced of the four. And he's only been racing for 6 years. Brad and Joey have been for over 13 years, and Hamlin for over 17 years.

Momentum does seem to be on Elliott's side, as he is #1 right now. But I think it's anybody's race. I do think Chase could be the next Jeff Gordon, for sure. But I am honestly hoping for Denny Hamlin to get his first championship. He's 39, not many more years left.

Chase Elliott, 24, third-youngest driver to win NASCAR Cup title

    Good call. Thumbs Up

Was really emotional watching him win it. Especially with his dad in the stands.
