    12-0 vs 7-0.. doesn't seem fair right?

But at the same time its very hard to argue with these two teams being the very best in the country. They have the best recruiters and therefore the best collection of talent, with likely the most successful future NFL players between the two of them than most of the other top 25 teams in the country, combined.

Who wins? Alabama is the heavy favorite. And it would Saban's 6th title as the head coach. Of course that means I'm rooting for Ohio State. But ya know, hard to ever call the Buckeyes underdogs.

I agree that their both the best in the country, but I definitely don't like the 12-0 vs 7-0. Each team is required to play x amount of games before playoff games. Did they even meet that criteria?

Buckeyes did, technically for this special season. I think it's supposed to be at least 10 games normally, somehow correct me if I'm wrong. But they had to make exceptions for 2020.

Does seem inherently unfair to play 5 less regular season games and still make it to the national title. But they did win a playoff game, very convincingly over Clemson. And they did play 3 ranked teams during the regular season. So that's a pretty good resume.

Alabama on the other hand beat four top 25 teams, and won their playoff game even more convincingly. So my guess is Alabama has this game. And just because they played more, and therefore have the better resume, probably deserve it a bit more.

But sucks for Ohio State because if they would have played 12 games, its very likely they too would be 12-0. And its not like the players didn't want to play. So...

Ohio State made that competitive, for about five minutes.
