In the total dumpster fire that was the capital riot, there was an Olympian there. He stood out from the crowd because of his height, and was identified by the website SwimSwam as being Klete Keller. He was part of the mob that entered. This guy swam in three different Olympics and won gold in the 4x200m freestyle relays in both Athens and Beijing. What makes it worse was his choice of apparel - an officially-branded jacket that sported a United States Olympic Team Patch. He was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, obstructing law enforcement and illegally entering a restricted area, and released after an appearance in a federal court. Sources say he fell on hard times after the Olympics and was sleeping in his car after a divorce. I'm sad for him, and everyone makes thoughtless mistakes, but going to the riot, and then deciding to wear a Team USA Olympics brand jacket, is beyond me.

    Yeah, is a sad story.

This is really sad. I don't necessarily put Olympians into a higher category than others, but I her being an Olympian makes it worse for some reason. And wearing the jacket while rioting at the Capitol is just ridiculous.

Also, wasn't there another U.S. Olympian there wearing their jacket as well?

    Any further word on this?
