Well we all now know that the 2021 summer Olympics are definitely happening this year. At first we were all worried that recent events would lead to the Olympics being postponed or cancelled all together. But now with the vaccines and things starting to get back to a relatively norm, they're 100% going full steam ahead. I'm pretty sure they made that statement months ago, but either way they're going ahead.
But man.. they've been an absolute mess so far. I honestly hope everything goes off without a hitch, but I'm definitely going to be watching and gritting my teeth the entire time. Hopefully all the athletes and teams are safe too. I'm actually more excited for the opening ceremony than anything.

I didn't really look into the numbers for each country that much, but from what I hear their culture and hygiene practice already makes them pretty well setup to handle something like this. At least better than a lot of other countries.
