The 2021 Summer Olympics will not allow fans from abroad to attend the games. The decision came from the organizing committee for the Olympics. They basically said that no foreigners will be allowed access into Japan for the Olympic and Paralympic games. They said that recent and the ongoing situation in Japan and throughout the world make it for a very challenging situation for them.

I can agree with this decision. I'm sure it was a tough one for them to make. They'll be missing out on big opportunities with have no fans from abroad at the games. But it makes sense from a safety point of view.

Agreed, I think this is a very smart decision made by Japan. Especially since they've done so well during all of this mess.

It'll be a weird feeling to watch the Olympics without any fans there, but I'm 100% on board with the decision if it allows the athletes to compete. I've gotten pretty used to watching sporting events with little to no crowds, so hopefully I'll get used to it quickly.

It's kind of a no-brainer to not allow tens of thousands of people from basically every country in the world into one small area until we've reached some resemblance of herd immunity. If it means that the Olympics can go on (albeit a year late) then I'm just fine with it.
