I wonder when E-sports is going to get more popular

I know E-sports has gotten amazingly popular in the last 5+ years or so. People have finally caught on to how competitive video games can be and how fun and exciting they are. Now days people gather in huge stadiums to watch Fortnite, COD, CS:GO and a bunch of other game players battle it out. I'm a huge fan of this sport so the more popular the better. I'm really happy to see how far it's come and how the world is starting to accept it for what it is. The question is though, when will the sport finally tip into the mainstream? Does that finally happen when the new generation who grew up watching these huge tournaments get a bit older? E-League sports are much more popular among that group than NFL or the NBA. I got a feeling that in the new few years it's going to get bigger and better.

I think you last question answers it. It may take awhile for that generation to grow up and start popping out kids/new fans to the sport.

More then ten years ago I told someone from my past this was the silliest idea and then Twitch came into being and now I am eating crow. Never would I have thought.

You and me both! I still don't "get it," but apparently I'm becoming increasingly isolated with that feeling. To each his own though, so if it's exciting for people to watch other people play video games then who am I to judge?!

Yep. I think I read that more people watched this past year's E-League than the NFL Super Bowl. And I get it, it's actually super fun to watch. I don't like all of the tournaments but some of them I play myself and actually do very well on. It's a really fun sport and I'm atleast glad that people are starting to really catch on to it.
