He may have been out due to surgery last year, but it didn't seem to phase him at all on Friday. His approach to his major league debut is something to be admired. According to Stipling, he was trying to become the first pitcher since Bumpus Jones in 1892 to throw a no-hitter in his big league debut. Well, he was just shy of that by throwing a 7 1/3 no hitter before being taken out by the skipper. It was a good call though because Coach Roberts was thinking about Stipling's long-term health. At any rate, I think we are going to be hearing a lot more about this guy, especially this season.
