Sergio Garcia. Brooks Koepka. And Jordan Spieth. With the back 9 to go for these guys, I see the tournament only going to one of them. 3 shot difference between them as of now.

Rooting for Spieth mostly here. No surprise if you've read some of my other posts. But especially for this tournament. It's in Irving, Tx. Basically Spieth's hometown, as far as fans are concerned. He's the local talent that burst onto the scene, and everyone in Dallas (especially and mostly Spieth) want him to win. It's something he's yet to do in Dallas in his career yet.

Bad drives for him though today so far. Really all of Jordan's best shots have come from troubling lies.

Garcia and Koepka on the other hand probably most deserve the win. Both have traded holding the lead for the most of the tournament, when it counts. And have by far the best highlight reels of the weekend going.

In all likelihood Sergio will win this one. -2 on the day through 8, compared to Koepka's even through 7, and Spieth's 1 over. Plus Sergio won here back in '04.

I have to agree. Being a Texas boy myself, I can't help but root for the guy. Even if he loses, I'm really hope this year doesn't break him in the long run.

Sadly Spieth has had too much of a rough day to compete. 4 over after 15 holes. Not good at all. He looks pissed at himself after almost every hole on the back nine. Will come down to Koepka v Garcia after all.

Sudden death actually with Koepka and Garcia. Spieth just collapsed with terrible putting and even worse drives on the back 9. Sucked to watch. All I ever want to see is him be the next GOAT. But.. I think he just needs more time. Maybe he is just one the best, of a crowded talent pool near the top.

For the sudden death, was fairly uneventful. But Sergio did pull off the win. You could tell everyone including the announcers were kinda meh about the win though. Both said they "weren't on their A game". Gives Sergio 9 PGA tour wins, 2 from Byron Nelson. Good on him.
