The two were traded to the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for a second round pick this year, and a third round pick in 2017. Let me start by saying I completely understand trading Bickell off. When the Hawks re-signed him, he had just come off a two strong Stanley Cup playoff rounds. Since then... He has really just been a known name in the group. They had thought he was either going to raise in quality, or at least stay at the quality of game he had for a while. That just didn't happen. And I'm not saying he's a bad player by any means. He's just slowly becoming more of a ball and chain for the team as a whole. That I understand.

Now on to Teuvo Teravainen. I'm pissed. WHY! And don't give me the reasoning of his size or lacking of brute force. Just look at Patrick Kane. When he first started for the Hawks, he NEVER went into the corners. And if he did he quickly and quietly exited before he got smashed. Now that he has learned his limits, he hits almost as much as any other player (other than Shaw, of course). It takes time to know how to throw around your weight when compared to guys twice your size. There's no need to risk hurting yourself to prove a point. Use your fast paced puck management and speed against them.

Teuvo is 21 years old. The Hawks could have molded him into a mesh of Kane/Towes. But nope, nevermind.
