It's set. Pats won by 19. Falcons by 23. Being both the best offenses in the league, with underrated defenses, I think they deserved to be in the super bowl the most this year. So since my Cowboys missed out, I'm looking forward to this as a really good consolation game, that should be really good.

So both teams score a lot. Both teams have solid defenses. Both teams can run and throw at will. And either Ryan or Brady will be the league MVP.. Who wins this one? Curious on people's takes on this matchup.

I think the Patriots defense and Belichick's scheming game plan might prove too much for Atlanta. The Falcons offense is better. But only slightly. And the Pats defense is better, but only slightly. So it will come down to qb play, turnovers, and coaching. Unfortunately for Atlanta, New England bests them in all of these categories, usually.

Saying that, I really want the Falcons to win. And I do think it will be very close. Julio Jones can put them over the top. And they are lucky they don't have to see Gronk in this one.

.. thought it was interesting how similar the Falcons and Pats offensive numbers were today:

Matt Ryan - 27/38 for 392 yards and 4 TDs. (Also 3 carries for 23 yards and a TD). No picks.
Tom Brady - 32/42 for 384 yards and 4 TDs. (4 carries for -1 yards) No picks either.

Those are both monster games. Great games. Further evidence they deserve to play in the super bowl. Also, even stranger that their top receivers tied exactly with huge games too:

Julio Jones - 9 catches for 180 yards and 2 touchdowns
Chris Hogan - 9 catches for 180 yards and 2 touchdowns

Both teams also controlled time of possession. Neither team turned the ball over. All signs point to a shoot out.

I am 100% rooting for the Falcons to win the SB. I am quite tired of Brady, and very tired of Belichick. If I were betting on this matchup, I'd go for Atlanta to win. And I don't think it'll be quite as dramatic as the two championship games were. But I do see them winning by at least 2 TD's. I don't really have specifics to back that up with. But when you're dealing with two teams that dominated like they did, I'd say it'll come down to which team wants it more. That drive alone will be key to this SB.

    Falcons all the way!!

Also, besides who you want to win, who do you think will win? Which team would you put your bet on?

Falcons. I disagree with the first post. I think Atlanta's defense is enough to stop Brady. And I don't think anyone can cover Julio right now. We just saw what the Falcons do with a red hot quarterback.

Interesting. Well the Patriots are a 3 point favorite right now. Would be a good bet to go for the Falcons.
