Derrick Rose just can't catch a break. The Bulls star point guard has a torn meniscus, the same injury that he has worked the past two years to recover from. He will undergo surgery to repair the tear and his timetable for return is unknown at this point.

As an avid Bulls fan, this is just devastating. This is a really bitter pill to swallow after watching him finally seem to be at 100 percent this year. It's just not fair for this to happen to such a great player and person both on and off the court.

    Here's to a speedy recovery.

I don't think I have ever seen an NBA player with worse luck. As great as he is, maybe he just shouldn't be playing pro ball anymore. You get injured that frequently and I think your body just might be trying to tell you something.

I don't necessarily disagree, but I would hate to see him go. He is by far my favorite player in the NBA and seeing him retire at such a young age would be really tough to swallow.

That really does suck hearing about this. It is going to be a tough one to recover from.

At this point it would seem fate doesn't want him to play. Not that he's had several different types of crazy injuries. But tearing a meniscus... twice. That's just begging for an older life with a cane. You can get over the fear of it happening once. But after the second time, how can you run up and down the court like they do these days without fear. And fear drags you down. No two ways about.
