It's no secret that Cable subscriptions are dropping as more and more Americans switch to services like Hulu, Netflix and Apple TV. ESPN, the most popular channel in standard cable packages is considering switching to an online streaming model much like the one used by HBO Now.

I personally love this idea. As someone who doesn't have any cable package at all and gets his news from online anyway, I would certainly be onboard. The don't plan on switching anytime soon, but it's good to know that they are considering ways to change with technology.

Is it suppose to give them better control? The only thing I watch NASCAR for is the crashes. I suppose safety is important as well.

I'm leaning towards the AL taking this one down. I'm not exactly impartial though, being a ranger fan, but they seem to have a better team this year.

Is the FIFA cup like the Olympics? Countries spend billions of dollars on upgrades that are used once then they all fall into disarray?

When I read that South Africa paid 10 million dollars in bribes, I wonder just how beneficial securing the cup is or is it a curse like the olympics

I hope not. The NFL has to show that it's serious about cleaning up its image and cares about the integrity of the game. Just because they made some boneheaded decisions with prior suspensions doesn't mean they should cave.
I'm surprised that they let him play at all ever again. Cheating should be an automatic removal from the league. But now, the punishment for Brady is, Pats keep their Championship and Brady continues to play the sport. That is worst case scenario for cheating in the Super Bowl.

    That just seems REALLY laxed.

Never any heard of Fantasy baseball before. What are the general rules? With pitchers being rotated out, do you get all the pitchers from an entire team? The batting seems pretty simple.

That really does suck hearing about this. It is going to be a tough one to recover from.

Larry Sanders walked away from the NBA and millions of dollars and now he is talking about it.

One of the stresses that pushed him away from the game was that he felt the NBA controlled too much of what he said. He felt he was a mouthpiece for the NBA. I suppose it is a personal choice. For millions of bucks a year, i can keep my views to myself but he couldn't

I probably don't agree with the NBA's policy, but it's how they choose run business.
