Thought it was clear that the winners of the biggest conferences that have topped ap lists all year would all get #1 seeds. Didn't happen for Michigan State this year though.
Virginia took it from them. Then it was NC Tar Heels, Kansas and Oregon. Those 3 made sense. But I guess the committee just thought that the Cavs overall season was a better resume than Mich State winning the Big Ten conf championship.
But I get the reasoning. Virginia has to contend with a harder conference. And Kansas being there, destroying almost everyone. But still. Whatever. Looks like Michigan State's potential road to the championship game is going to be a lot easier than what they would have been faced with , with a #1 seed. And really , at the end of the day, who cares about 1 v 2 seeding?
I think they lucked out. And might just sweep everyone because of it.
